Stampin’ Retreat!
Simi Valley, CA is where my Stampin’ Up! career began 25 years ago. What a privilege it was to travel back to that area to spend some time with some dear Stampin’ Up! friends. Diane, a treasured friend, and I traveled to Frazier Park, CA and were blown away the moment we walked into the rustic Girl Scout lodge that would be home for us and 26 other Stampin’ enthusiasts for the next 3 nights.
We were greeted by the most amazing, generous, and friendly hostess of the retreat, Amy Combs, one of my first recruits. Amy joined the Stampin’ Up! Family in1993 and is one of the most creative and hard working SU ladies that I know. Really, this girl must never sleep! She began preparing for this spectacular event months in advance.
Each guest shared a 6 foot table that was in the main crafting area. Amy decorated the room in a rustic theme using the colors red and black with moose, deer, pine trees, and pinecone decor. There was a fire in the fireplace warming the room and creating a cozy, comfy atmosphere.
At each place was set a handcrafted notebook with an adorable moose on the front cover, a mug with our weekend logo, stampin’ treats like demensionals and doilies wrapped to perfection, a mason jar & straw with a hand cut wood coaster, and the most adorable bag ever! To say we were spoiled is an understatement!
Enjoy this slide show version of Time-lapse Tuesday of our weekend get-away. I will be featuring cards that we made and are shown in this video within the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned! Sign up for my newsletter so you don’t miss a thing. I will send you a note when new posts go up.
