A Christmas to Remember Retreat
Christmas time and everything that goes along with it is my absolute favorite! Decorating, cooking, baking, shopping, Hallmark movies, parties, concert choirs, Christmas carols, read-a- louds, puzzles, crafts, Christmas cards…bring it on! Every one of my senses is delightfully overwhelmed when it comes to the sights, sounds, touches, tastes and smells of Christmas.
When it came time to plan A Christmas to Remember Retreat, all I needed to do was pull from the heritage of my own family traditions and wa-lah!
One of the wisest things to do around the holidays is to keep it simple so that you don’t miss out on some of the unexpected, sweet surprises the season brings.
I offered only 4 classes at this event, and each one of them was simple to prepare, I promise.
Rustic/Holiday Scrapbooking Class
Okay, this class took a bit longer to prepare because I didn’t use a kit. But the pages were kept relatively simple, and I had my wonderful, newly retired husband willing to help cut and gather.
The class featured 6 – 12×12 beautiful, 2-page spreads (12 pages total) that will be perfect to display precious Christmas memories. Everything was cut, stamped and embossed for participants. All they needed to do was assemble. The fee for this class was $35.
‘Twas the Night before Christmas’ Saturday Night PJ Bingo!!!
Each participant received a special, Bingo goody bag with Stampin Up! products valued at $25 or more, Bingo – Stampin Up! style, and two make and takes. Stamping, playing Bingo and winning prizes – all while in your PJ’s. A fun-filled celebration night!!!
Fee: $40
Here are three of the six two page spreads that we did. I will post the other three soon. The first two sets are fun and whimsical using the Santa’s Workshop 12”x 12” DSP. The third set of pages has a rustic flare using the Festive Farmhouse 12” x 12” DSP and the Farmhouse Christmas Photopolymer Bundle
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas’ Card Class
These beautiful cards took just minutes to stamp and assemble because all of the cutting had been done ahead of time! With this card kit, the cards were easily put together creating 20 cards, 5 each of 4 different designs. Class fee: $25
Jingle Bell Christmas JUMBO Tags Class!!!
In this creative class, eight awesome JUMBO Christmas Tags were made and embellished. Who needs a Christmas card when you have these JUMBO tags? They can also be used as a gift card holder. Four different festive tag designs were provided, and two of each design were made. Accessories were included with the class fee. Participants provided their own adhesive. Class fee: $20
