Beautiful Day

Beautiful day

Who loves to color?  I do!  As a child I would spend hours coloring in one of many coloring books that my siblings and I shared.  It was such a treat to get a new one from the corner store or receive one as a gift.  I still remember the one I received when I had my tonsils out at age 5 or 6.

Well, I still love coloring and now I get to use all types of tools to color with.  Today I colored this lovely rose using our Stampin’ Blends found on page 31 in the Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog.  It is fun, easy and  therapeutic!

Stampin’ Blends are a high quality, dual-tip, alcohol marker offered in 12 exclusive Stampin’ Up! colors- each with a light and a dark shade- as well as ivory, bronze, and a color lifter.

Youtube Video

In my time-lapse video you may notice me going back and forth with the light and dark markers.  That is correct.  I first color a small portion with the light color blend saturating the paper, then while the ink is still damp, I highlight with the darker blend, and then blend the two together using a circular motion to create a beautiful shading effect.

Be sure to subscribe to my Youtube channel.  Please leave a comment or question and I will do my very best to get back with you as soon as possible.

If you haven’t tried these easy to use Stampin’ Blends- that make you feel like a true artist- I encourage you to do so! Start with a set or two and try them out. I have a feeling though that you will be back for more!
